After booking your appointment, we will send you a welcome pack which will include:
A welcome letter confirming the day and time of your appointment
Directions to our practice locations
Information about orthodontics
An acquaintance form including a medical history section
A referral to have X-rays taken if required
Please take a moment to ensure that each form is accurately filled out and then bring the documentation with you to your appointment. This will save time and keep your appointment running on schedule.
Upon arrival at either our Maroochydore practice, you will be welcomed by one of our friendly Treatment Co-ordinators and directed to a treatment room. You may notice that our practice is equipped with modern furnishings and the latest dental technology. We are proud of our iTeroⓇ 3D scanner which allows our specialist orthodontists to design accurate treatment plans without any messy dental impressions.
If possible, try to arrive a few minutes early for each appointment you have at Ocean Orthodontics. This will give you time to settle in and begin your treatment with us without feeling rushed.
If this initial appointment is for your child or adolescent, please plan on accompanying them.
Your first appointment at Ocean Orthodontics will take approximately one hour. We respect your time so we will do all we can to keep your visit running on time.
During your first appointment, we will be able to provide you with accurate and specific information about your orthodontic situation. At this first visit, your orthodontist will examine your teeth and bite and will be able to tell you:
What orthodontic problems are present
Which type of treatment is best to address these issues
When this treatment should start
How much your treatment will cost
An estimation of how long your treatment will take
After your initial consultation, we will provide a comprehensive report to both you and your referring dentist, if you have one.
If you qualify for Invisalign®, then you may be able to begin the treatment process on the very day of your first visit.
We will need to arrange the payment aspect before beginning your treatment. We wish to make orthodontic treatment as affordable as possible. We offer several flexible payment options that can alleviate your financial burden.
